I just received this email from Mr. Staley:

I spent time with Steve last night. He said he had a bad day. He is experiencing a significant amount of pain and is very tired. Cards and money continue to flow in and we are making a delivery about every 3 days.

Like always, he said, "give everybody my best, tell them hello."

Thanks for remembering Steve in your prayers that he may rest in peace.

Here's the note I will send out to you soon:

AP folk:

Like some of you, I had the opportunity to see Mr. K in the hospital in Indianapolis. I hope you walked away from the experience encouraged and challenged as a human being. We continue to hope for the best for the Chief, but things don't look great as his health seems to be waning.

He requested at the end of 1st trimester that you folk read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (Pirsig). Besides reading that book, you should have read another book of your choosing by the time we come together again in March.

I have set up a blog with a few links and room to discuss and toss ideas around. I've made a link to a few Zen sites, including one that has the entire text of Zen online or in PDF. Here's the address:

If you have any questions or comments, stop me in the halls or post them on the blog.

Peace,

Mr. Judson
